Singing is her talent, but empathy is Sandy Glass’ true gift. This Christian music vocalist from Molino, Florida truly tries to identify with her audience and feel what they feel. She goes to a concert not knowing what her audience’s reaction will be; so she goes in humble, knowing that it is her duty to touch something in the hearts and motivate them to think about the message of the songs. More than most singers, Sandy has a humbleness of spirit. Her singing talent and empathy connects with the audience.
Sandy has been asked by her audiences, “How is it that you know how I feel, and you are singing exactly what I’m in pain about?” When you witness one of her concerts, the answer to this question becomes very clear. Audiences get involved in Sandy’s concerts. She selects songs that are specifically written to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. “I’m not a singing star, and people shouldn’t look at me that way; its’ the gospel message in the music that makes people turn to Jesus,” says Sandy. Toward the end of her program it becomes a quieter time, so the audience has time to reflect on the message.
Sandy is small in stature, but has a surprisingly strong voice with rich. warm tones. She started singing in church after high school graduation and has been singing nationally since.
Over the years, the Lord allowed Sandy to open concerts for Ivan Parker, Jeff and Sheri Easter, John Starnes, the Wilburns, Refuge and the Relations Quartet as well as sing at Trinity Broadcasting in Nashville, Tennessee, the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY, Super Conference at Thomas Road Baptist Church, and on numerous Christian cruises. Sandy has twelve projects released to date, “He’s Been Faithful”, “He’ll Find A Way”, “He’s Ever Interceding”, “The Mention Of His Name”, a Christmas project entitled “Come, Let Us Adore Him”, “God Will Make A Way”, “When We See Christ” , “Where Is Jesus?” , “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” ,"He's Alive" and "The Wonder of the Cross". In September, 2011 Sandy released her newest CD entitled "Jesus Can" which is a tribute to two of Sandy's favorite songwriters, Ricky Atkinson and Squire Parsons. "Jesus Can" was recorded at Lamp Music Group in Whitesburg, Georgia and produced by Mike Pillow. Sandy has also recorded a one-hour live concert on DVD called “Oh What A Savior!” which clearly gives her testimony and the plan of salvation. Sandy’s prayer is that the words to each of her songs will give encouragement to the saints and bring many people to the Lord. Her desire is to minister in music in any local church, nursing home, prison, VA hospital or any place that will open their doors to her soul-winning ministry
All this has proven that the momentum is growing because of the Lord’s message that Sandy brings in music. Brisk tape and CD sales and radio airplay have generated many concert dates. Sandy has a philosophy about her concert bookings, performance fees are not her primary goal, the message of the gospel that Jesus Christ still saves is the primary goal.
Humbleness of spirit prevails and you feel at peace when you listen to Sandy’s recordings and when you attend her concerts.
